Hey, I'm
Michael.
I'm a 26-year-old full stack software developer from New York City. My journey started similar to most people passionate about this industry — building games on Roblox, learning Lua, and discovering that I enjoyed creating.
The skills I learned there led me to competitive robotics in high school, where I learned Java and lead the programming team to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. I programmed 120-pound robots, taught students Java, and learned a variety of other skills from engineering to marketing. I still mentor students today — it's one of the most rewarding things I do outside of my own projects.
These days I spend my time building multiplatform apps for desktop, web, and mobile — primarily in TypeScript and React and React Native. I believe strongly in writing clean code and shipping I also enjoy writing about my projects, and sharing what I learn along the way.

What I do when I'm not shipping.
Outside of work, I still enjoy building products, games, and tools. I'm very enthusiastic about software and game development, and enjoy developers showcasing their work. I also like hearing about new technologies in robotics, space, and AI.
On the side, I run homelab — Home Assistant for controlling my smart home, Plex for me and friends, and Mealie for keeping track of recipes. I also self-hosted game servers.
Another thing I enjoy is learning languages. I've taken classes and self studied throughout my whole life- from middle schoool to college, and now have a working understanding of Spanish, French, and Mandarin, with more on the way.
When I'm not with my friends or family, I love audiobooks and watching Sci-Fis & Political Dramas. Shows like The Expanse and The West Wing are two I keep coming back to. I'm also a big fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender and comfort shows like the Stargate franchise.

I'm always open to interesting projects, full-time roles, or just a good conversation about software.
